S-Mall
Astoria // 12.3

What’s the drop?
Astoria community collective S-Mall is hosting a holiday market on Saturday featuring Filipino whole-pig legend Lechonbae, Chef Amanda Simon, Kapamilya food truck, and more. Lechonbae stands for: lechon before anything else, but we sense a double meaning there. This crispy pig could become your soulmate or your sneaky link after just one bite. Tap the piggy below for all the info.

Malgré
West Village // 12.4

What’s the drop?
Former Chef de Cuisine at Ernesto’s Josh Atwood will be cooking food from the mountainous Pyrénées region at Lord’s on Sunday for one night only. Barbecued octopus and Pyrenean duck confit stew will feature on the menu (per The Infatuation). Lord’s is Ed Szymanski’s newest restaurant in NYC. His first being Dame, which is one of those spots that you need serious diligence or a very punctual, quick assistant to secure a reservation at. It’s wise to project that when he opens his restaurant’s doors to another chef, the food will positively knock your socks off. Tap the mountain below for all the deets.

Martin Planchaud Residency
Bed-Stuy // 11.21-12.3

What’s the drop?
Bordelais chef Martin Planchaud is the resident chef at Ostudio right now, and his Pressé de boeuf wagyu is making us want to eat our phones. It’s served with pureed carrot and persillade, a French parsley sauce. Planchaud has traveled around the world from Canada, to Paris, Mexico, India, Italy, and the Basque country on a quest to master the culinary world’s flavors. He comes to New York to continue that quest and show you the flavor that he’s soaked up. If that Pressé de boeuf doesn’t make you want to ‘press de button’ below for all the info, we don’t know what will.

Florida Water
Clinton Hill // 12.7

What’s the drop?
Chopped” champion Kia Damon is bringing her latest pop-up series that highlights Floridian fare to Rhodora Wine Bar next Wednesday. The dinner will feature fried snapper with red curry, an octopus skewer, baked clams, grilled shrimp, and basically everything a seafood lover could possibly ask for.
