Viet-Cajun Seafood Party
Essex Pearl

Where: Lower East Side
When:
Wednesday 7.13 at 5 and 8PM

What’s the drop?
A collab banger with El Buho Mezcal featuring 3.25lbs of seafood per person basking in Chef Daniel Le’s signature seasoning. Plus andouille sausage, corn, surreal sides, cocktails, a Mezcal-laced passionfruit dessert, and a Mezcal pairing flight to wash it down.

Why should you go?
Eating copious amounts of seafood is the key to an epic summer. Seafood rockstars chefs Daniel Le and Steven Wong are tapping into their roots to cook a dinner you won’t soon forget.

Gotham Smashburger Pop-Up
Ray’s Bar

Where: Lower East Side
When:
Saturday 7.9 at 1pm

What’s the drop?
One of the top contenders for the best burger in New York. Perfectly seared patties smashed with onions, topped with American cheese, slipped into a soft but toasty bun, and stacked with all the fixings.

Why you should go?
Founder Mike Puma has done unmatched burger research and the method he’s chosen for Gotham Smashburger maximizes flavor with flawless execution. The #burgertokchallenge has shown us almost everyone who owns a spatula thinks their burger is the best, but this burger is a cut above the rest. The burger you deserve.

Patikim Pop-Up
Honey’s

Where: East Williamsburg
When:
Friday 7.8 at 5PM

What’s the drop?
A Filipino BBQ and food market at a bar. What more could you possibly need? The grill menu will include chicken adobo, pork skewers, and calamansi ribs from Patikim. For dessert grab a matcha cream puff or a piece of ube flan cake from Butterboy Baking Co before a clever investor buys their whole supply.

Why should you go?
This isn’t your parents’ Fourth of July BBQ of frozen cheeseburgers and pasta salad. Chef Erika Costa of Patikim has been turning heads all year with her pop-ups and missing out on her latest drops would be tragic. The pork skewers (pictured) probably have you camping outside of Honey’s already, but did I mention after the BBQ there’s a dance party?

Smokey Bandit Gang BBQ Pop-Up
SingleCut Beersmiths

Where: Astoria
When:
Saturday 7.9 at 1PM

What’s the drop?
A mount rushmore of NYC BBQ vendors is assembling. Smoke Sweats, Tikkun BBQ, Bark BBQ, and Jase BBQ put together a BBQ travel itinerary with this menu of Carolina Gold Chicken Legs, Dominican Beef Ribs, a brisket sandwich on brioche with kimchi slaw, and much more.

Why should you go?
New York is one of the few places in the world where you can attend a BBQ that reps so many parts of the world. It might be the only one. Seize the opportunity and eat at this pop-up. Future you will be thankful.

IÑAKI BOLUMBURU Residency
Fulgurances

Where: Greenpoint
When:
Friday 7.8 & Saturday 7.9

What’s the drop?
Chef IÑAKI has brought a taste of the Basque region to Brooklyn. You can never be sure what you’ll get besides deliciousness, but his menus have been seafood-focused featuring Cod Pil Pil and cockles, and Skate Bilbaina.

Why should you go?
The nomadic chef has impressed kitchens and customers all over the world and it’s your turn to try his food. These are his last two nights at Fulgurances but he has seemingly left his mark. Fulgurances is driven by a program of residencies that brings in chefs from all over the world, so stay on your toes.
