Partanna Classic Smoked Salmon
Greenberg’s Bagels // 36 Carmine St, Manhattan // 5.19-5.26

Greenberg’s Bagels is teaming up with Partanna to unite the analogous streets of NYC with the olive fields of Sicily. For one week only, Castelvetrano olives, green as the Statue of Liberty, will adorn an olive oil-whipped cream cheese atop a garlic bagel with smoked salmon and red onion at Greenberg’s in the West Village. A twist on a classic that, just like Drake, you might never see the same way again.

The Olive Burger
Hamburger America // 51 MacDougal St, Manhattan // Available thru early June

Burger magnate George Motz drops an iconic American burger from his decades of burger research every month at Hamburger America. But these one-off creations are a lot more substantial than a diss track. This month, the Olive Burger from Weston’s Kewpee of Lansing, Michigan is the spectacle. A crumbled beef burger with a mayo-based olive sauce and American cheese. Motz is importing some of the country’s most-unique burgers in an already burger-rich city. Where will they rank up against New York’s top burgers?

Barkada.HK x Pig & Khao
Pig & Khao // 68 Clinton St, Manhattan // 5.22 5PM-10:30PM

Collaboration beats competition any day of the week, so it’s exciting to see two Filipino restaurants from opposite sides of the globe teaming up for a one night event. Barkada, one of Hong Kong’s hottest restaurants is taking over the kitchen at LES favorite, Pig & Khao, for an AAPI Heritage Month celebration. Pig & Khao’s regular menu will be available alongside Barkada specials like Spicy Funky Coconut Noodles, Adobo Popcorn Chicken, Buffalo Fried Rice with Bone Marrow and Coconut Cassava Cake.

Piscator
Basik // 323 Graham Ave, Brooklyn // 5.19 2PM til sell out

It was about time that a whole-fish pop-up graced the New York food scene and right on queue, Piscator by Chef Mason Acevedo is giving the people what they need. No need to consume rap beef when you can embrace your inner carnivore at this pop-up. Hoist that fish with your hands and clean every nugget of sweet meat right off the bones and hold up the skeleton so everyone can see the beautiful work you’ve done. A whole branzino is imparted with simple flavors; salt, pepper, parsley, lime; and grilled to perfection at this trendsetting pop-up.

Fishwife + L’Appartement 4F Block Party
L’Appartement 4F // 115 Montague St, Brooklyn // 5.19 10AM-2PM

Fishwife is teaming up with L’Appartement 4F for a block party uniting the bounty of land and sea. The land-bound croissant, perfected with fine French technique by L’Appartement 4F’s master bakers, will meet tuna, the king of the sea, in the form of a tuna croissant sandwich. These two prized ingredients won’t try to rap battle each other out, they’ll coexist in harmony on the stage of your tastebuds. The buttery layers of a fresh warm croissant will melt into an unctuous, umami-packed tuna salad with every bite. It’s a crime that this combination isn’t more popular, but perhaps this is just the beginning.
