This Monday, she will be hosting a Vietnamese Soup Tasting Menu at 390 Social with five courses plus an amuse of Foie Gras Banh Mi Toast, which might be the sexiest thing you could read on a menu. You can also expect stone crab, abalone, duck confit, smoked lemongrass fish soup, and beef stew to make appearances at the dinner. Tap the soup below for all the info.

A mother-daughter duo who won the New York City Wine & Food Festival’s award for “Best Taco” is popping up at kitchen incubator Nimbus for delivery and pickup every Tuesday through Friday. Husband and wife team Little Grenjai are popping up at Mắm with a menu of Thai comfort food to warm you through this cold weekend from within. The menu features duck laab, pork skewers, spicy pad cha cockles, and treasures of the sea served in a coconut; a recreation of a dish that the couple had on their first date. Inside the coconut, shrimp, squid, and scallops will swim in an eggy yellow curry full of coconut meat, which will be served with ginger-garlic rice. Tap the coconut below for all the info.

Not to rub it in, but here’s a pop-up you may have missed out on. To stay in the know on all the hottest drops in real-time, check out 8it’s Pop-Ups & Drops category in the app.

Florida Water

Chef Kia Damon’s Florida Water tour was such a success that the last one sold out within minutes, so we had to secure a spot to taste her secret sauce. Her literal sauce was no secret; an aus jus laced with achiote coating a half chicken in a savory blanket that invited you to lick it down to the bone. Her figurative sauce was simple yet genius; this was one of those meals where you felt like you were eating in the chef’s kitchen. The quality and control she demonstrated with each product packed every bite with love and care. If her pop-ups were every night, we’d no longer have a reason to attend our friend’s dinner parties. In order, we had hot honey cornbread with pimento cheese and cream corn, lemon peppa’ shrimp with ranch, Carolina gold dirty rice with ground pork & chicken liver, achiote poussin with aus jus, cipolline onions and aioli, and mango curd with fresh mango and mango meringue. Her next pop-up is at the end of February and we’ll be all over it so stay tuned to the 🧨 Pop-ups & Drops category in the 8it app.
