Chile En Nogada
Crown Heights // Available thru 10.15

When you think about Mexican food, you probably think about tacos and tamales, because they’re so commonly represented. But real ones will tell you the best Mexican food is dishes you won’t often find north of the border. Chile en nogada is a prime example of that. Through Latin Heritage Month, Ursula is collabing with James Beard award-winning chef Rick Martinez for the stuffed pepper covered in nutty mole that’s considered a national treasure of Mexico. Their version is a New Mexican green chile filled with pork piccadillo, peaches, pears, apples and almonds then coated with a pecan mole and topped with pomegranate seeds. Zingerman’s Deli of Ann Arbor, Michigan is set to bring their Reubens, ingrained in the minds, hearts and tastebuds of many University of Michigan alumni, to Olly Olly Market next Saturday. They’re bringing as much corned beef, Russian dressing, and pickles they can carry for the one-day event that will look like a college tailgate, as the bar broadcasts the Michigan vs. Minnesota football game. A tailgate package can be purchased that gives you access to a buffet of sandwiches, sides and drinks. Find all the info in the💥 Pop-ups category on the 8it app.
