You have not one, not two, but three chances to feast upon one of NYC’s most elusive food pop-ups this weekend. On Saturday, they’re collabing with Yellow Rose for its third birthday party with chicken wings and desserts. Sunday they will be at Good Times Deli & Grill with Comma slinging smoked chicken, rice, beans and greens with charred chili nuoc mam. Then, next Thursday and Friday, they will be at Rita & Maria in Bed-Stuy for a sit down dinner. No reservations needed, everything is walk-ins only. Pastry chef Yesenia Rodriguez channels her Dominican background into her pop-up with desserts like tres leches and cheesecake. It started in 2018, when she found an old banana pudding recipe, tested it out for her husband, who approved, and encouraged her to share her talent with the world via mason jars. Now, she’s expanding the traditional boundaries of tres leches with flavors like pumpkin spice and ube. She will be at Earth & Me in Astoria this Sunday. Tikkun BBQ Burgers
Astoria // 11.11

Tikkun has been slinging some of the best BBQ in NYC for some time and now their burger pop-ups are a great reason for a trip to Astoria as well. They do an Oklahoma-style smash with razor-thin onions, american and special SAWSE on a potato bun, and in typical fashion they always break out a special original creation. This Saturday at Maggie Hall’s, it’s a gochujang bacon smash. Find all the info in the 💥 Pop-ups category on the 8it app.
