Must-Eat Food Pop-Ups & Drops in NYC 9.2-9.9

Vegetarians beware, this week’s Must Eats is full of flesh (and a little dessert). No matter your meat of choice, this weekend we have all the varieties - smoked, fried or marinated - chicken, burgers or pork - you can have it all at these pop-ups. And this sausage party is very fitting given it is Labor Day weekend and the unofficial end to cookout season. Summer may or may not be ending, but with the abundance of cookouts, pop-ups and summery dish drops this week, the fun surely isn’t slowing down. Some of NYC’s most exciting chefs are bringing us their best bites, giving us more than one reason to celebrate. Bask in BBQ glory, swarm to some shawarma, jam on some jerk and satisfy your sweet tooth with this week’s Must-Eats.

As always, this article is just a small taste of the pop-ups and drops you can find in the 8it app. Hit the green button at the bottom of this article to explore the 8it app.

Banana Pudding Cruffin
Lower East Side // Available thru 9.3

Even though mom wouldn’t ever let us, we are going to start with dessert. Run to Supermoon Bakehouse right now for their latest cruffin. Bite through the sugar-coated crust into flaky, buttery layers that lead to nostalgic banana pudding. This tastes as if your nana did a crash course in pastry at Le Cordon Bleu and elevated her dessert game both literally and figuratively. Homemade vanilla wafers round out this time warp of a pastry that will reactivate your childhood sweet tooth. Find all the info in the 🧨 Drops category on the 8it app.

This Monday will be no different, with Labor Day offering an extra excuse to party, Cmarty will be slinging burgers, jerk chicken, hot links and veggie options at King Tai Bar. With the vibes turned up to such a degree, we couldn’t imagine a better place to be on Labor Day. Find all the info in the 💥 Pop-ups category on the 8it app.

Chefs Alix Ferguson, Daniel Soskolne and Loren Abramovitch have built Lev up to be one of the most sought after, elusive pop-ups in NYC. You gotta be quick to find when and where they’ll be popping up, but it’s gonna be worth the effort to swarm to this shawarma. Find all the info in the 💥 Pop-ups category on the 8it app.
