8 NYC Restaurants Serving Up Thanksgiving Dinner

Just when you thought 2020 couldn’t suck anymore...this just in: YOU CAN’T BE WITH YOUR FAMILY FOR THANKSGIVING 🙃

With restaurant restrictions leveling up, 10pm curfew, and limit on parties of 10 or more, our options are limited. So, if you’re a transplant stuck in NYC away from your family, or a New Yorker with a fam too big to get together, don’t be Joey:

Can’t replicate your auntie’s famous pecan pie? No idea what to do with a 20 pound turkey? We’ve curated Thanksgiving meal options for you by some of the best restaurants in New York in the “Thanksgiving” category on 8it app.

Here’s 8 of them that we’re excited about:

Portale

Portale is offering Thanksgiving Dinner Boxes to celebrate at home. The box serves two and includes a ready to be served, carved roasted turkey + broth, gravy, stuffing, cranberry sauce, roasted brussels sprouts and Carrots, Pureed Kabocha Squash Soup, Pull-apart Rolls, Bourbon-Pecan Torta, and Biscotti. You can also add pumpkin, apple, and/or pecan pie! If that’s the kind of feast you’re looking for, Friday, November 20th is the deadline for all orders.

Dante

Dante’s sit-down Thanksgiving menu ranges from appetizers to festive drinks. With main courses like oven roasted turkey breast with apricot and sage stuffing, agave glazed ham with apple mustard, and mushroom lasagna - there is bound to be something for everyone. Chow down on Crispy Brussels, creamy potatoes, a warm roast chicken, lasagna, and delectable sweets like Black + White Pie. Or just go with dessert - their Sweet Treats Boxes that serve four to eight.

Bubby’s

Thanksgiving is Bubby’s favorite holiday so it goes without being said that they are going all out this year. While they’re celebrating all week long with a Thanksgiving Plate available every night. Althought they’ve sold out ready to eat take out Thanksgiving packages, they still have their famous pies available to order. 8it pro tip: make sure to get a side of Bubby’s legendary biscuits that they serve year round.

Kimika

Last, but certainly not least…celebrate your not-so-typical Thanksgiving with Kimika’s Thanksgiving Feast. They are inviting their beautiful and elaborate feast filled with either classic porchetta or their special “turchetta” into your home. Everything is prepped for four to six people, the only thing left to do is heat and serve. They are accepting pre-orders now through November 21st so be sure to put in your order. While restaurants still navigate the uncertain times they’re facing, it’s up to the real eaters of NYC to do our part in supporting them as much as we can. And if you’re not comfortable with dining indoors yet, that’s totally cool - just make sure to order delivery or takeout, and remember… ORDER DIRECT. 3rd party delivery apps like GrubHub, Seamless, Postmates, etc are taking up to 30% in fees from these small businesses. The restaurants need us now more than ever. Stay safe and stay hungry.

Happy Thanksgiving ya’ll!
